Durango, shown here in Silicon Bronze Light, is made by Rocky Mountain Hardware. An exceptional offering in solid, art-grade bronze, handcrafted exclusively for Labrazel. Cast in sand, each piece captures unique textures and nuances. Offered in seven hand-applied patina finishes and using only the highest quality art-grade bronze to achieve our unique designs. The process begins with solid bronze ingots. At temperatures of up to 2200 degrees Fahrenheit, molten bronze is poured into individually formed sand molds to create the raw castings for each piece. The components are then welded and finished by hand, resulting in natural textures and nuances that make each piece unique. The collections are produced in two types of bronze alloys. Silicon bronze contains copper, silicon, and zinc creating a coppery-gold color. White bronze is composed of copper, manganese, nickel, and zinc producing a silver color. A selection of hand-applied patinas enhance the hues of the bronze, creating a gently aged appearance. The patinas will mellow and deepen with time, touch and climate, developing into rich, distinctive hues. The Rocky Mountain Collections are available by special order.
