About Abyss Towels

Several features of the Abyss towel make it unique amongst even the best luxury towels, which explains why the Abyss Towel is such a desirable towel, often found in the finest hotels and luxury spas. Abyss SuperPile towels are particularly renown as the thickest. most luxurious towel available in the USA, Europe, and even within Portugal.

Abyss Towels stand alone in their craftsmanship based upon their high quality continuous weaving process, their fine Egyptian cotton materials, and their superior dyeing process. The result is a durable, fast drying, soft and a beautifully vibrant towel of exceptionally fine quality.

What makes an Abyss Towel such a superior spa and bath textile product? The creator of Abyss went to great effort to create a quality luxury towel, luxurious even by European towel standards. First, the highest quality Egyptian Cotton, called GIZA 70 was selected. GIZA 70 has exceptionally long, strong fibers that allow for a continuous weave towel. Cotton spinners consider GIZA 70 cotton an heirloom quality cotton due to its’ durable, strong fibers that are remarkably uniform and fine grade. This fine Egyptian cotton is woven with a very fine linen to make an exceptionally soft yet durable towel.  Testing reported in the Wall Street Journal indicates that after 50 washings, the Abyss Towel does not show any signs of wear or fraying! No wonder Abyss SuperPile 700 Towels were voted the "Best Overall Luxury Towel".

Abyss uses this GIZA 70 long fiber cotton in a high tech continuous weave process that makes towels with no seams. This makes softer, smoother, higher quality towels with no stitching to rip, fray, or scratch the most delicate skin. Even the label on every Abyss Towel is made with this fine woven material and is inserted sideways on the bias so they do not stick out or disturb the user. The label too is dyed as the same color as the towel.

There is something else unique about Abyss Towels - their round corners.  These kinds of details set Abyss Towels apart from other towel brands, as they result is a towel with the caliber of craftsmanship more often associated with a couture dressmaker than a mass production textile. No wonder Abyss towels last so long!

Abyss state of the art looms can create numerous patterns and weaves making for towels that are durable, soft, and aesthetically pleasing. Abyss collections range from the conservative to the colorful, elegant to the modern.

Finally, Abyss towels are dyed with a custom process with environmentally friendly dyes made by Abyss expressly for their towels. Abyss Towels come in sixty (60) colors that coordinate with Habidecor rugs and bath mats in hue and saturation so that the Abyss Towels and Habidecor rugs have an agreeable symmetry without appearing so overtly matched as to diminish their respective unique product character.

Fine Linen and Bath proudly carries both the Abyss and Habidecor collections and offers free UPS shipping on Abyss and Habidecor orders of $150 and over.
